I liked doing all of these small flash reviews yesterday! Two of these three books are from some of my favorite musicians from my "dark years" in college.

Heavy #1 (Vault)
By: Max Bemis, Eryk Donovan, Cris Peter, Taylor Esposito

First, shout out to Cole from the Comic Burrito for pointing this title out to me.  Second, I didn't know that Max Bemis wrote comics (remember, I've been back for a year), and I LOVE SAY ANYTHING!

This is a dope twist on the death of a man's family (like the punisher) which sparks his thirst for blood.  However, it's not to seek revenge on who killed his family, but it is to functionally work his way out of Purgatory as a "heavy" and he kicks ass throughout time to "prune the branches of the multiverse" which I think is a dope concept.  When we discover who the main target of the issue is, I laughed a lot, and the battle is quite awesome!  The art and color in this book is also amazingly over the top to match both the absurdity of time-jumping assassinations and the struggle of missing his wife.  I'm glad I didn't miss on this book.

I am now making it my goal to interview Bemis before book 2 drops.

You Look Like Death #1 (Dark Horse)
Gerrard Way, Shaun Simon, INJ Culbard, Nate Piekos

The only reason I read this book is because I'm gonna be on Lost'n Comics today, and its the LNC Fam pick of the week.  I'm not the right audience for this book for two reasons:
1. I haven't read the original UA comics (its on my to-do list soon!)
2. I haven't seen more than 8 episodes of the show (across both seasons).

What I can say however, is Klaus is one of my favorites from the show.  I think this does an awesome job showing him using his power of communication with the dead and making them present when needed.  If he is this excessive in the comics, it is reason enough for me to bump it up the list.  It's interesting, but IDK how right I am to assume anything since I am weak on the source material!  (but I also love MCR!)

Detective Comics #1027 (DC)
By: Everyone in the world...

This was nice, but SOOOOO LOOOOOONG.

I don't ever find anything mind blowing or disappointing in these big milestone titles....I loved fraction/zdarsky together!
