Once & Future #9 (Boom Studios)
By: Kieron Gillen, Dan Mora, Tamara Bonvillain

This picks up in the midst of Beowulf vs. Duncan's car. After some quick thinking, Duncan attempts to end Beowulf with a quick rollover.  That's when the true fight begins and we anxiously turn pages to see if Gram has any last tricks up her sleeve to down another monster.  Meanwhile, we start to get to the bottom of Merlin's true intention in bringing Beowulf back (and it's bonkers). As the stage slowly gets set for the next phase of the story a new threat appears out of the blue, and I may have screamed a little on the last page.

What should you do? This book was the first read for a reason, I know it will always deliver!  I am running out of arguments to explain how good it is....so just READ IT! (I'm looking at you Nick from Comic Burrito).

Artemis & The Assassin #3 (Aftershock)
By: Stephanie Phillips, Francesca Fantini, Lauren Affee, Troy Peteri

Holy wild-west time hopping Batman! In this issue, the ladies hop to Arizona in 1875 and from the second they show up, they get right into trouble...because they need to "pay the fee." What transpires is a several page spread of a wild-west street brawl.  And like I tell my small children, when you get to rough-housin' someone's gonna get hurt! I also want to shout out Francesca on the art, she helps sing this book's beautiful song!  It is her best of the three yet!

What should you do? Fools are sleeping on this book, and you in no way should.  It is one of my favorite stories in terms of each book is chaotic, and we are getting small pieces to the puzzle in each book, and each new reveal excites me!

Family Tree #7 (Image)
By: Jeff Lemire, Phil Hester, Eric Gapstur, Ryan Cody

Words cannot express how awesome this book is......This issue got my heart pounding and my mind racing more than any of it's predecessors.

Masterpiece.
