It is no secret that I'm a huge Mad Cave Studios fanatic. I have loved each and every series they've put out (although I still have to read some of the digital only releases). However, my hands-down favorite book is Nottingham. I have written at length about my love for David Hazan, Shane Connery-Volk, Luca Romano and Justin Birch's work. While I didn't write a freak out essay when #10 came out and shattered most of my preconceived notions of where the story may go.....I'm excited to talk more Nottingham today!

While I'm thoroughly excited to read the works of the Merry Men who created the Nottingham universe, what excites me even more is that TALES OF NOTTINGHAM IS AN ANTHOLOGY!!!!!!!! I have been lucky enough to interview several Mad Cave Studios talent search winners about their individual projects, however, Mad Cave is doing something new with their recent crop of champions.
Aside from the first story, everything else will be written by clusters of the talent search winners on each issue. This is an AMAZING opportunity to see how these talents operate within one of Mad Cave's most popular worlds. This format may get people introduced to these creators early on, and if successful whichever individual titles they are eventually responsible for could skyrocket!!!!!!

The other thing which makes me thoroughly excited is these creators are responsible for not just establishing some one shot style stories in the Nottingham universe, but they are basically writing arc 2.5 because Tales from Nottingham will directly set up the THIRD arc of the series (can I have it now please David?).
If you are a Nottingham fan like I am, or if you are new to the series, Tales from Nottingham seems to be the perfect vehicle to expand upon the variety of characters we met throughout the second arc as well as set us up for another heart-pounding run in Nottingham volume 3! (My cardiologist will be sending a bill to Australia).
